when you think you know… you don’t…

When you think you know how your day will go… He’ll show you… you don’t…

That’s how I forgot to write here… yesterday…

Inspiration came Saturday… but that’s my day not to publish… so I thought… I’ll do that tomorrow…

Tomorrow came… but it was full… one brief thought on the way home reminded… I need to write today… but once home… well… it just didn’t happen…

I now see… He knew… there would be no time Sunday… He inspired Saturday… He provided… I just didn’t obey…

I thought I knew… how my days would go… but He really does know…

After twenty-some-odd years of walking with Him… I’m still learning to listen… still failing to respond… still missing opportunities…

Hmmm… when I think I know… He reminds… I don’t…

“…The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

John 3:8 NKJV

That Spirit we are to live by… He blows when and where He wishes…

Believers hear… but we don’t know where He will lead… we are simply called to follow…

Everyone born of the Spirit… is called to live this life of listening… not knowing… and being available… prepared… ready… to change directions… reorder a day… follow His lead…

That is what I failed to do Saturday… today… my day already feels out of sorts to me…

He continues to reveal the things I thought I knew would happen from my waking moments… is not what He knows…

Compared to Him… we are blind… that’s why we need to learn to listen… and follow His lead…

I will bring the blind by a way they do not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.

Isaiah 42:16 NKJV
