Prayer

the flip side… of intercessory prayer…

Intercessory prayer…
intentional prayers on behalf of another…
have a flip side…

Even when we pray for others…
He uses our prayers…
to change our hearts…
open our eyes…
transform our lives…

I’ve experienced it myself…
but this evening I’m reminded by a friend who said…
Since we’ve been praying for him… I’ve been more aware…

It’s just so true…
prayer…
it’s not so much about what it does for others…
it’s about what He does in us…

O you who hear prayer…
You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness,
O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas…
Psalm 65:2, 4
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession
and thanksgiving be made for everyone…
This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
who wants all men to be saved and to come to
a knowledge of truth.
1 Timothy 2:1, 3-4
